What’s the Hype With E-Bikes?
What's the hype with electric bikes? We bet you've never had this kind of fun on two wheels. E-bikes take you a little further, a little faster. Renting an e-bike to explore a new area, or your own backyard, makes for a fun day out.
We have a fleet of Rad Runner e-bikes. They have four pedal assist levels and a throttle to give you that extra boost when you need it most. Their step-through design makes them easy to ride for beginners and experienced riders alike. They come equipped with a basket, cell phone holder, lock and first aid kit for your convenience. We take pride in servicing and maintaining our fleet of e-bikes to ensure they are always charged and ready for your riding adventure. Our batteries will go a good distance, but keep track of the battery life with the handy gauge so you don't end up pedalling back to the shop!
Take Off Adventure Rentals is located just down from the famous Goats on the Roof market in Coombs. We are a short drive from Parksville, Qualicum Beach, and only a half hour drive from Nanaimo. The shop is directly across from the Coombs to Parksville rail trail, which is a 7km level gravel trail that takes you into Parksville. When you rent an e-bike from us, there 's a whole world of adventure waiting for you. Explore the quaint little town of Coombs, or head into Parksville to enjoy the beach and boardwalk. The possibilities are endless.
But why stop there? Take your e-bike rental further afield and explore Qualicum Beach and the whole beautiful Oceanside area along the Regional District of Nanaimo Trails. There are over 200km of trails to choose from, ranging from easy to difficult levels, with stunning ocean views and lush forests to discover.
At our e-bike rental shop, we provide helmets and safe routes to get you to the beach, with many things to enjoy along the way. Or, tour the country roads of Errington and Coombs and take in the sights. Englishman River Falls Provincial Park is also a great destination. Other stops in the area include the North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre, Butterfly World, and the Saturday Errington Farmers Market. Anywhere you go, you're in for a fun ride! We provide locks on all rentals and two of our e-bikes are equipped with child seats, that suit children up to 40 lbs. Take Off with your family for a ride!
At Take Off Adventure Rentals, you must be 19 years old to rent an e-bike. We offer group discounts for four or more riders, and may be able to deliver on a rental of multiple bikes with advanced notice. We've rented our fleet to big families, for work functions and reunions. There are many great opportunities to add adventure to your group event, and e-bikes are a fun choice!
It's easy to rent an e-bike from us. Book online, or call the store. Fill out an online waiver, and come by for your rental. We'll go through all the safety features and you can have a test run in our parking lot before going on your way!
